Introduction
Hi! I work with the Pew Environment Group to encourage healthy ocean policies in the United States. I look forward to meeting fellow ocean lovers and look forward to hearing from you!
Why do healthy oceans matter to you?

Diving, fishing, eco-tourism, the intrinsic importance of oceans to life on this planet... by every conceivable measure this resource is vital to our survival!

What are you currently doing to make the world a better place?

Anything I can. Right now, I am gathering signatures and comments to the National Marine Fisheries Service in an effort to end overfishing in U.S. oceans. You can sign the petition online at www.endoverfishing.org.

What would you like to do?

Meet other ocean enthusiasts and activists in my community. Learn about local, federal, and international conservations issues. Make a difference!

Meetups in the Making

I want to be invited when new Meetup Groups start about…

  •  Hey Tara - thanks for the welcome! I'd love to be able to meet up and do more to preserve the oceans. I hope the group helps me figure what else I could do. It was interesting to see that you are signed up for the canoe meet up -- I didn't know that there was one. Maybe I'll ask my dad to join as he was in the Olympics for the USA in Tokyo doing Canadian style single blading - now it's canoe single blade. Anyway, hope to meet you soon. - Judy
